# Deleting a user

To delete a user account follow these steps:

1. <div>Open the control panel.</div>
2. <div>Select “Users”.</div>
3. <div>Select the user you want to remove.</div>
4. <div>Click “Delete user”.</div>
5. <div>Click “Delete” to confirm the user's deletion.</div>

Deleting a FileRun user account does not remove the user's home folder or its activity log entries.

What gets deleted:

- <div>his “Deleted files” folder</div>
- <div>the WebLinks he created</div>
- <div>the folder sharing information</div>
